I know I'm playing with fire, but I don't mind.

I simply love my off days; especially it's on a weekday. I just love the idea of wandering around in town, when everybody's at work!

In the morning, went to visit my grandparents, and bought them lunch! I miss my grandparents so much, that I wish I can visit them everyday! Then, I went to The Helix bridge for the first time today!

I try to reach for you, but you have closed your mind.

I'm determined not to let my blog go dead, so I'm back with another entry. Life had been somehow hectic nowadays, I'm working like mad, I barely had time for anything else.
Hopefully I can quickly get used to work!

So here's the recent updates of my boring life.

Driving!

Driving can be really fun, if you got a nice driving instructor. I don't really like driving instructors who are strict, because I can't really get any of the teachings in. I prefer instructors that are nice and approachable! Oh yes, I had booked my driving test, and I would be taking on 6th May, 12pm! I hope I can clear it on my first attempt!

Work

How time flies, I had already been working for OCBC for 1.5 months now! So far, I had been enjoying my work. No doubt it can get stressful at times, but still I'm happy - because of the wonderful people I met in work. I guess I really enjoyed the job - for now! I get to see different people from all walks of life everyday, and that make my job a whole lot more interesting!

Here are the wonderful friends I made while at work!

I'm posted to Causeway Point Branch, it's a Sunday banking branch, and it means that I have to work on Sunday at times! So for now, my working scheldue is that, I work everyday, from 10.30 to 8.30, and I get Public Holidays & two days off per week! I still got a total of 21 days leave too.

Red Cross

Arts Festival; My first event in more than 2 years. I would say it had been a good experience running the event, It did give me lots of exposure and thoughts. This event enables me to see Redcross in a different light.

Perhaps it's because that I'm a senior, and perhaps a decision-maker, there are alot of things I had never encountered before. Things that I had failed to see while I'm a junior last time - the bigger picture. I shall not mentioned anything in my blog, as it would seem rather unprofessionalism.

However I would just state an example, people might be thinking why am I putting on a red tie, when it's actually unneccessary to do so? It's not because I enjoyed wearing a tie on a hot day, it's because I know by wearing a tie, the teachers would direct all their questions and complains to me, thus leaving my commitee members to execute their tasks without any hinderance!

I'm happy to be part of Arts Festival 2010!

Oh yes, I forget to mention that I'm finally promoted to AYO, and I would receive a bronze medal that day! Let's take photos that day, as I don't know when's the next time I would put on my uniform.

Finally, I had the chance to experience being at the tallest public housing in Singapore. I had always wanted to visit the rooftop; it is 50 storeys in height, and being linked by 7 connected building!

At that point of time, how I wish I had a DSLR! Maybe I should get a somehow similar, powerful camera soon? By the way, Pinnacle@duxton is actually a HDB project! It's being built to commemorate one of the oldest HDB site! So imagine, you got this place when you ballot for it?

It's situated near Chinatown, and public can visit the rooptop at a cost of $5! But there is a daily limit quota of 200 members of public though.

You hate the long rides of taking bus to Genting or other parts of Malaysia? Well think again.

It's so cool right? I tried the seats, and they are comfy! I feel like I'm on a plane! & I heard there are Bus stewards and stewardess too!

We took our chance, like we were dancing our last dance.

I knew this would happen someday, just that I didn't expect it to be that fast. But what's done cannot be undone. Since we're already at this stage, let's just let it remain that way, perhaps it would be better for both parties this way.

If only, I did not went to a place called B, I would still be the same old me. If only I had insist strongly of not going to the place called B, I would still have the time of my life. There're just so many "if only", and no amount of words can express how "low" I felt right now.

I don't wish to shirk any responsibilities, on "how" I had changed, and I don't deny that I'm at fault at times, but I guess going to Brunei had really changed me. I'm no longer the same old QingXiang that you guys know. It had been so lonely in Brunei, and I had began to change to being a boring, and some sort of unapproachable person. I'm sorry that, while being alone in Brunei had reduced my "thick-skin level" that I no longer can take your jokes that well anymore.

Where are those happy days, they seem so hard to find.

To summarise, it's really a blessing to know you guys, and now that I'm out of you guys' league, I know there's no way for me to get back in. I'm really happy to know every single one of you, but I know that sometimes, changes are inevitable. There's one last thing I hope or rather asked from you guys, that's to remember me for the good, not just the bad. Goodbye my friends.

Because my heart just wants to run and run and run.

My 1.5 weeks at work felt like months to me. It had been a very busy week for me, as I have plenty to learn & absorb in course, it's like learning a total new system. But somehow, I don't seem to mind at all. Perhaps it's because I know that this is a good job with bright prospects and if I excel in it, I will go far in life.

If you work in CBD area, there's one thing that you would need to handle - the crowd. There's so many people everywhere, and the people there uses tissues paper to reserve seats! It seems to work as though it's some sort of an unwritten rule. You can't avoid crowd when you're taking train to Raffles, I am being squeeze as though I'm a sardine stuffed inside a can!

But at least there's scenery for you to admire, when you feel tired and stressed out!

There's a saying, you can't work with an empty stomach! and it's true, because Lunch is the only thing I look forward to in work. There's so much good food in Raffles area, and you just can't seem to have enough of it.

You might think that, since Raffles is in the central area, the food must be super pricey here? But you're so wrong man! Because the food here is super cheap and nice too! Don't believe? Take a look!

Cause I don't wanna be the one, only overjoyed.

Today marks the end of my 3 months' holidays, and I would be starting work tomorrow; or rather training. I would be attending the Polytechnic Trainee Bank-Officer Programme (PTBO), and I am feeling rather excited & nervous, because I'm going to meet new people and be in the a new environment! But at least I am in a class of 15, with trainees around the same age as me! Hopefully it would be an enjoyable 1 month training programme for me! :)

Yesterday's National Footdrill Competition (NFC) marks my 3 years absence in the event; Congrats to all who had participated! Participating the competition itself is already an achievement, winning trophies is just an additional bonus. All the cadets who participated had put in their time and efforts! So don't be disheartened, for all are winners! (:

Now that NFC are over, it's my turn to be busy with Red Cross, as I would be involved in the two up-coming events; namely Arts Festival 2010 & World Red Cross Day Celebrations. Hopefully I'll be able to execute my tasks smoothly.

Movie Review!

Being Human!

Being Human (做人） is Jack Neo's latest movie, which touches about human conscience, and preaching the moral dilemmas that mankind face. By using theories like ' You reap what You sow' this flim seek to teach you how to being a human being.

Mark Lee plays the film's protagonist Mai Wei, an unscrupulous slimming centre employee who is hell bent on revenge against his previous company for dismissing him. He goes on to set up a rival company and resorts to devious means to draw customers. I felt that this story is similar to the Slim 10's saga that happened years ago, perhaps Jack Neo draws inspiration from that incident.

As you can see, they actually cast popular Taiwanese Comedian NONO as one of the leading actor, but however his role was a let-down. It's not his fault though, just that it's a waste on asking him to act in such a role. However I am impressed with Chen Lei and newcomer Jeremy Chan, I felt they are the only bright spots in this flim.

To summarise, It's more like an attempt to an inspiration flim (Which they didn't seem to get it) more to a Comedy. So don't expect much laughs, as I can only remember that I managed 3 laughs. But still, I think it's quite worth it to watch, because I support local flims! (:

Dear John

Dear John is based on a novel by Nicolas Sparks - the author who specialize in writing tear-jerker story-plots! Honestly speaking, by seeing the emotional movie poster and knowing the story-line, I thought they would portray the film as a tearjerker romance that would left piles of wet tissues (Just like the screenings of The Notebook), but it's not.

The film opens in the spring of 2001. John (Channing Tatum) is in the Army, stationed in Germany, and home on leave. Savannah (Amanda Seyfried) is a college student home on break and enjoying a week long party with friends. At the end of the break, she has to return to school and he has to finish his tour of duty. It’s only a year, he tells her, and then they will be together. In the meantime they will write to each other, till time began to separate them.

I don't want to elaborate more about the story-line, but I can say it would really surprise you, and for me, the things that touches me the most is the father-son relationship. The actings of the cast is commendable, i can almost find no flaws in it. Therefore,

My Rating ---> 7/10 ! I love Amanda Seyfield!

Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao!

I would like to take back, what I mentioned in my previous entry! The dumplings in Crystal Jade is really good! It's nice and affordable too! Each item costing less than 5 bucks!

Look at the fried rice below, even a simple dish can look so yummy! I really love the way they cook, the chefs' skill are seriously professional! It gives you a little 火味！

Domani Cafe

It's situated at Ngee Ann City! It looks a little bit of upmarket, but the price it's actually not! With set lunches ranging from 1o dollars to 14 dollars, it's defintely worth a try.

It's so beautiful, it makes you wanna cry.

At the speed of light, both 15 days of Chinese New Year & February is over, how time flies! It's the month of March already. I would be starting out a new phrase of my life soon, I would be stepping out to work in the society in a week's time. Hopefully I would have a good career with OCBC and quickly find a suitable part time degree course to enrol into too.

It's quite easy, and not as difficult as I had expected! Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) next. (: I am beginning to get interested in First Aid.

Movie Review!

Hot Summer Days!

The best romance movie I had watch for ages! In my opinion, I think it's better than Love Actually and at least 10 times better than the recently Valentine's Day!

The romantic plots include: a driver played by Jacky Cheung begins an SMS romance with failed-pianist-turned-masseuse played by Rene Liu. A writer (Vivian Hsu) tries to win back a stern-faced sushi chef (Daniel Wu). An air-con repairman (Nicholas Tse), estranged from his dad (Gordon Liu), woos a hot biker chick (Barbie Hsu).

Besides the already substantial cast, there are also cameos from various celebrities, including Charlene Choi (the non-scandal-tainted half of Twins), film director Fruit Chan, Calvin Choy of legendary Hong Kong band Grasshopper and Shawn Yue as a tattooist.

The biggest cameo of all, however, is Maggie Cheung, who plays a heartbroken customer at Wu’s sushi shop.

Food Review!

It's my first time eating at Din Tai Fung! I know I'm slow and sua-ku! But I am really used to eating La Mian & Xiao Long Bao at Crystal Jade.

Din Tai Fung's Xiao Long Bao is really tasty; one of the best I ever taste! I think just having 3 is not enough for me! The 炸酱面 is not bad too, and there's my favourite Japanese Green peas in it too! The Combination is superb! Yum Yum :)

Seriously, I don't have a good impression of Just Acia intially, and even though I always frequent Dhoby Ghaut area, and they are always giving out flyers, I seldom dine there, because of the open concept seating, which I don't really like.

But the price of the food kinda make up for it (You can get a decent set meal between $7 to $12) The food taste quite decent too! It's most ideal for gatherings, as you get to catch up while having the free flow ice creams and the drinks!

Durian Empire at Jurong Point! I couldn't resist when I saw this, I just have to try the durian pudding here, and it's super affordable at $2.20 each! It's not very fantastic, but still decent enough; and for its price, I think it's still worth the try?

Chomp Chomp is really a good place to have dinner in. I love those hawker food centre, where there's lots of local delights that you can each order, and share around! Imagine the choice of Satays, Oyster Omelette, Chicken Wings etc?

These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down.

There's plenty of exciting, value for money set lunches out there in many different restaurants nowadays, and I think Cafe Cartel offers one of the best set lunches at only $9.50 nett!

It comes with a drink, soup of the day, main course (based on daily menu), free flow bread & dessert!

Most Cafe Cartel restaurants are very spacious, which makes it a nice place for get-together! You can munch on the free flow bread, while catching up with friends! It's a great way to spent a lazy weekday afternoon!

There's too much time to waste, that's why we start taking photos! It really bring back my obsession of taking photos! I am so going to take photos man!

It's a revolution, the time will come for us to finally win.

I have a very happy CNY this year! The reason being, there's alot of people playing cards with me, and I received more money in "ang pows" this year too! I guess it's due to the recovery of economy and people are feeling a little bit more generous?

Though CNY is somehow boring at times, but the goodies kinda made up for it!

How time flies, It's finally the year of Tiger! So I'm here to wish everyone a Happy Tiger Year! (: May all of you receive lots of ang pows alrights! (:

Anyway just to update all of you, I have gotten a job already! I would be working at OCBC, as a trainee bank officer! I would only be starting work on 8 March, so I would still have around 1 month to slack, and I would be able to enjoy the full 15 days of CNY as well! So people, please invite me to your house for house-visiting ok!

I guess it's a not bad job? at least it's a good start for me! I would be staying in the head office at Raffles for 1 month, and it would be totally cool, because people like weilin, hongyi, xinyu and guoying would be having their attachment at the CBD area too! It would be totally cool, if we could meet for dinner after work in our formal attire! Anyone having attachment in that area too?

The driving centre is like a second home to me nowadays; I have been going to the driving centre for at least twice a week recently, and I really enjoyed driving! Driving is like my only joy now, it really feel good to be on the road. I love it when I speed, it felt like I am the fastest thing on the move.

But I am back to the circuit for the next 6 lessons, as I am now on stage 3! It's time to rot on the circuit while learning how to reverse and parking.

I simply love my Tau Hway (豆花）break!

I always feel better after a bowl of Tau Hway! It makes me happy, it makes me strong and it give me strength to stand up! Choa Cku Kang Blk 302's Tau Hway is really cheap and good! It's the only Tau Hway I had ever eaten.

I am going to stand up, as it's not the end of the world. I am still young, and I am going to take the next step, I am going to take up a degree at SIM, and I am going to find a temp job to do till school starts! That's the plan for now.

Over the Tau Hway break with secondary school clique, we had decided to do something ambitious! We are going to organise a Regent RCY gathering after gazillion years! and we're going to call back 4 batches! Hopefully we can at least gather around 20 people? It would be fun!

It's 6.30am now, and you might be wondering why I woke up so early today. But not to worry, it's not because I am losing sleep because of the job issue. I am waking up early because I need to bring my grandmother for medical checkup today.

It feel quite refreshing to wake up early, it had been quite sometime since I last woke up so early on a weekday.

14 blades is really exciting and action-packed, It has a strong cast that features my favourite action star, Donnie Yen as the main lead. I had been looking forward to this flim ever since I saw the trailer months ago, but somehow I didn't enjoy the show as much as I would like to.

The silence isn't so bad, till I look at my hands and feel sad.

It turns out the someday, actually turns out to be today. Since I'm rather free today, I thought I should actually start clearing the cobwebs off my blog. Somehow I had been emotion-less ever since I came back; perhaps there isn't really anything for me to be happy about. Nothing seems to be going right.

It's been 1.5 mths since I had ORD-ed from army. I had been taking a long break, but it isn't fair to say I had been slacking all the way too.

Driving

I had been driving on the road recently, and I had manage to clear all my theory papers (Basic & Final) and I am on my way to stage 3 driving too. Once I had finished my stage 2 driving, I would be able to book for my practical driving!

Work

I would be starting training at the Home Team Academy next monday. I would be working for ICA (Immigration Checkpoint Authority) as a specialist. I had went thru 2 rounds of interview and had already sign the appointment letter from the government. However, there's a minor blip, my medical report says that I might have partial color-blindness, so I hope it don't cost me my job.

I guess I would be studying part time degree, once I had settled well into my job.

It had been ages since I last wore my Red Cross Uniform, I think I look somehow awkward in it now. The photo above is taken in campsite, when I went for the 11/10 VIP POP. It's yet another batch of VIs being sworn in as Volunteer Instructors, while I am happy to be to be back in the campsite, the feeling is somewhat different.

I had been back to Singapore for two weeks already! How time flies when you're back at HOME! I always wondered why time doesn't pass that fast when I'm back in Brunei! But well, time spent in Brunei is history anyway.

I had been slacking quite alot recently, most of my time are either spent on gaming or watching dramas at home! It's so good to be at home. I will be returning to camp tmr, my last phase for NS. It should be quite boring sitting at the office, I guess I would need to bring more books to read! I guess it's back to waking up at 5.30am everyday, and rot until 5.30pm for me to get back home! Thankfully it's only for 2 weeks! Anyone free for dinners?

Recently, I do not like to take photos anymore! Perhaps it's cause of my super ugly short hair, and my minor pimple outbreak! Nevermind, time will heal everything!

NDP 07 gathering! It's still a blast after two years! Tell me, which RC event still had a gathering going on after it's been over for so long? Hopefully this gathering will last for many more years to come! (: How I wish I could participate in another NDP again! But well, I am getting old already! ):

I am finally back for good! Back to the place that I truly belong. I will no longer have to live with slow internet speed, and there's no need for me to share a "public" toilet with a dozen of guys anymore! Oh boy, I am so glad to be back sleeping on my bed and that familar scent of my pillow.

It feels like I had never been to Brunei before, how strange it's for me to forget in just 48 hours back here! But well life goes on, and we have to move on! It's time for me to slack at home, and try to get my life back on track; I'm on leave until 30 Nov, btw.

Recently, I caught 2012.

It's a must-watch, if you're a fan of disaster related movie! However the length of the movie is rather long, and the whole theatre's plunged with sadness for around 2 & 1/2 hours. Though the plot is quite predictable, it's the effects that stole the limelight. It's quite weird to see the wonders of the world being destroyed so effortlessly.

The reason why people are so afraid of death, is because they feel they had so much things that's left being undone. That's the reason why I believe we should all live everyday to the fullest, treat everyday as the last day on earth. So when it's time, we should all embrace death rather than scramble and regret.

Took my heart to the limit, and this is where I stay.

苦尽甘来, that's my favourite chinese proverbial idioms right now! For readers who does not know what does it mean, it simply mean after the rain, comes the sunshine. Now that there's no more working days left for me in Brunei anymore, it seems that the only thing left to do is to wait for Monday to come.

I would say that my 13.5 months journey here had somewhat been a roller-coaster ride, serving NS overseas had its ups and downs. Though I might had a relatively easy life here in Overseas, doing mainly supporting roles, but I'm afterall in a foreign place all by myself. I can still recall how difficult the days were, and how our lives improved as times went by; and how I nearly go crazy during my tour here when I realise that I had to extend my tour.

But it's all over now, and it would not had been possible without the support of my friends. Friends who had supported me with cards and encouragement thru sms and online, I will never forget it. But there's this one important group of people I would like to thank the most, my comrades in Brunei, I would not had make it through the days here without you guys.For those who had left Brunei before me, if you don't mind and is seriously not sick of me, I hope we would still continue to meet up for more outings; just like what we did in Brunei. For those who are still serving in Brunei, I would like to wish you all the best, afterall our separation is only temporary, and our friendship will still continue when we're all back in Singapore.

To summarise, I'm glad that I had been "selected" for the tour here, because it makes me realise that peace doesn't come easily, and we shouldn't take it for granted. The peace we enjoyed in Singapore are due to the fact that hundreds and thousands of servicemen had sacrificed their time and loved ones to be posted overseas, of course not forgetting those serving in mainland as well.

These are the movies that I watched recently!
Phobia 2!

It consists of 5 tales, and it's quite scary if you watch in the theatre! The sound effects will seriously scared the shit out of you, and it doesn't help when I actually sat on the first few rows of theatre! The selling point of this movie is that it's directed by 5 of the best Thai directors that specialised in Horror flims!

My Own Rating - 6/10

My Sister's Keeper!

This is seriously a heartbreaker & a tearjerker, It's almost impossible not to feel sad or even teared. I could feel their pain, and the cast in the show was so good that it seems like I am watching a real life documentary. This flim is based on Jodi Picoult's novel. Cameron Diaz takes a detour from comedy to play Sara, the domineering mother of Kate (Sofia Vassilieva), a young girl with cancer. Sara’s other daughter, 11-year-old Anna (Abigail Breslin), was conceived just to serve as a donor for her sick sister. But the complicated situation gets more difficult when Anna hires a lawyer so that she can control her own body and say "no" to giving a kidney to her sister; who was dying.

It's somehow disappointing too, because the ending was different from the novel. Though I would liked the storyline to be the similar of that in the novel, but the cast kinda make up for it. Sofia Vassilieva even shaved her hair and eyebrows for the role!

Recently someone asked me what's the one thing I would like to do, if I'm blessed with unlimited fortune, and my answer's I would like to have my own zoo! Yes, my own private zoo, a place where I can showcase my pets! But why zoo though? Because I'm generous to share it with all the people in the world who loves animals!

Other than the exotic animals that a zoo's expected to have, my zoo would have lots of cats and dogs; I am going to house all the strays I can find here! I am going to have an expedition team which I would be part of the team, and we would venture into the unexplored rain forest to discover more species that is not yet been discovered.

Well, enough of me day-dreaming. Right now, I would be happy to have just one pet! Perhaps I would rescued the next stray I see when I'm back in Singapore! If time permits, I would like to volunteer in SPCA too!

I'm finally in the month of November where I can proudly say that I would be going home this month! I wouldn't be able to endure thru these 13.5 mths without the support of friends (who are in Singapore & Brunei); It's not easy serving the National Service, much less when you're in overseas alone.

There's this one thing that had keep me motivated thru my service here. The notebook that Esther had compile for me. It's bittersweet everytime I read the notes, happy because I'm able to see pictures & notes of my friends had for me, and sad because I realise I'm no longer in contact with some of them already.

Well it had been hanging in my room, ever since the first day I came here.

Coming to Brunei had make me appreciate the people around me, I would certainly cherish my friends more. Perhaps it's because there's no longer any conflicts involved? and for friends that I had accidentally upset during my time in Redcross, I am sorry, but if there's a chance I would try to be a better friend! (: Simply because it's not worth to have miscommunications anymore. Perhaps, it's due to I'm still had the boyish mindset before I entered the army, now I am finishing my service, it's time to act & think like a real man!

Now that I'm completing my tour in Brunei, I'm currently undergoing alot of "last time" now! We had a monthly camp event known as Happy Hour, and it's my last on Friday! The theme for Friday was Deepavali & Fruits Night!

Though fruits night is being mentioned, I didn't expect the fruits display to be so spectacular!

Finally I had my dreams realised, I had the opportunity to visit the highly rated I-Lotus Restaurant! It's an important milestone, for I had visited all the reputable places & restaurants to visit in Brunei!

We went for the unlimited lunch at $15.80 per head! It's super worth it, and though it's a buffet, the quality of food was never compromised! It tastes so good!

I absolutely love her, when she smiles.

Home is where the heart belongs. Right now, I'm kind of confused where I regard as my home, afterall this had been the place that I had called home for more than a year. My two short trips back to Singapore seems like a holiday vacation to me.

Noting that my next trip to Singapore is going to be an one way ticket, I aint coming back here anymore. Though I might be glad to leave this place, I would be leaving with a heavy heart. I am not sure whether I would be able to adapt to Singapore's life that quickly. No doubt I'm excited, but I'm afraid of seeing changes; One thing for sure is I might not be able to fit in with the usual people that I hang out with, & It's saddening to face the fact that I had lost so much friends in the process of being overseas.

Life goes on without my buddies who had eot (end of tour) on Monday. It's a whole day out with the Admin guys Hongbin & Jeremy, Finance Dennis, MT line Staff Kum & Hanwei and Chef Alex.

There's a shop that sells Taiwan's famous snow ice desserts! We went for the grape flavoured snow ice, instead of the usual Mango or Durian desserts we would normally ordered in Singapore.

Taiwan's food creation is almost everywhere in the world! If I had the opportunity, I would like to visit Taiwan end of this year. Anybody interested? We can try out all the funny food that is not brought in to Singapore yet.

It's quite a norm for me to catch a movie nowadays whenever I go out. Perhaps that is the only way to waste time in Brunei, but watching movie in theatre is addictive, I kind of addicted to watching movie in theatre.

We mistook this movie as the upcoming Ninja Assassin that stars Rain. But nevertheless, I guess as long as there's real quality of Martial arts involve, the film can't be that bad. I always like action movies! I don't think you would see this movie in Singapore.

I seriously think that I had fall in love with the Halal Japanese food they served here. I absolutely love the wide range and quality of bentos they served. I had this Mix Furai Bento set for only 13 bucks!

The bento sets consists of rice, miso soup, chawan-mushi, coleslaw, potato salad, 7 pieces of different Tempura ( 1 Chicken Stick, 2 prawns, 2 mushroom, 1 salmon, 1 sweet potato) & fruits. It's super amazing for a price like this right? I really ate like a king here. It's hard to cut down on food, when eating is the only joy here. I guess I had gain weight while being on my tour of duty here!

I finally had the time to watch Disney's Hannah Montana the Movie today!

Though this show is for kids, it's quite interesting to see it portraying on real life people! I know I should had blog this long time ago. But Miley Cyrus seems to be signaling something serious about her singing career. Her single in the show, "the climb" shows that she can handle country rock genre well. I'm sure Hannah Montana would be over real soon, now that she's growing up way too fast. Look out for Miley Cyrus instead of blonde Hannah Montana.

It's hard to say that I'd rather stay.

Tonight's the last night for my friends here in Brunei. Strangely, I feel kind of sad right now; it feels the same way when I was about to leave Singapore for Brunei last year - the feeling of having to separate, I never thought I would feel this way. We just had our last dinner in Brunei together, I ate with a heavy heart, and for that moment, I don't really enjoy my food.

I left the drinking session early, because clearly for that moment, it does not belong to me.

I guess I will miss them, even though I always deny the fact that they formed an important part of me here in Brunei; Afterall we are like family here in Brunei. Though we always had a little arguement and misunderstanding here and there, we never had a serious cold war among each other. The next day, there will still be smiles when we talk to each other, as if nothing had happened.

Though there are at times we feel frustrated, and could no longer stand each other, we know that this is isn't what we really feel, afterall we are in the same shit together, facing the same superior and challenges.

Thanks for being my family in Brunei.

Thanks for tolerating me when I am in a bad mood.
Thanks for everything.

Though we came to Brunei the same day, and promise to gloriously return Singapore together. But I understand that sometimes due to organisation requirements, we can't have everything done in our way. So for now, when you guys return to Singapore, don't forget to think of me in that glorious moment, for it belong to all of us. Afterall, we had played a key role in bringing peace in our motherland, and we are proud to have a different ns experience and to serve NS overseas for more than a year.

I can’t watch this life pass me by, so unhappy.

Just a short entry before I start work at 8pm later.

It seems weird to be working in the silent hours when everybody else is sleeping. Today's my sixth straight night working, I will be done after tomorrow night! My eye bags are getting bigger as the days pass by. ):

It's my biggest test so far in the army, as it's really torturing not to be able to sleep at night for 7 straight nights. So right now, my life revolves about working and sleeping; whenever I could find time in the morning. I didn't really have the opportunity to do the things I want. I really miss running and going to gym, and I can't book out too!

I had drank more coffee these few days more than I did for the past two years in the army. I only eat one meal on average because I spent all my free time sleeping. All these constrains just makes me want to go back home, & it doesn't help when the majority of my friends are ending their tour on this coming monday.

Hold on, but don't hold on too tight.

It's amazing how one year can change so much. Though It's expected that human to human relationship will change over time, but still I can't help but feel sad about it. Come this Sunday morning, It would be my one year stay in Brunei already.

There are friends whom I had completely lose touch with, and there are friends whom I felt I had this awkward and distant feeling when I talk to them, like we are no longer in the same communication channel. Since it's that hard to hold on, I might as well give it up right? It's a pity how my NS in Brunei had made me lose so much.

I can't entirely say I didn't gain anything at all. I had made a bunch of wonderful friends in my camp here in Brunei. In another month or so, when I am back to home for good, I will be starting everything afresh; a new life and hopefully found my new joy.

I would be going online less often, as there's no need to do so anymore. Take care, my friends.

It's back to the streets of Brunei, after weeks of blogging about my home leave!

Being an off day today, I decided not to waste this opportunity to book out! I guess it's always fun to explore the streets of a foreign country even though I doubt there's anything fantastic and interesting things for me to discover!

Today is also going to be my last free day I am going to have for a very long time. The day started out with lunch at Charcoal BBQ & Grill! It's a nice restaurant with lots of "US" decoration! It's like Billy Bombers we had back in Singapore.

As its name suggested, I try for their Grilled Honey Chicken!

It's rather good, and there are plenty of side dishes for me to choose from! But, still I decided to play safe by ordering the usual side dishes - Coleslaw and Fries.

Went around exploring the largest mall in Brunei and guess what? There's 2 more major Singapore brands that had opened or opening for business in Brunei!

I caught this movie today in theatre today!

It's a classic thriller of guessing who's the pair of killers among the 6 tourists in the islands of Hawaii! This movie is seriously not bad, and it's not as predictable as most flims! The twist is certainly not what I had expected! It would probably keep you guessing wrong all the time. What's most important is that, this plot will really require you to discuss with your friends after it's over!

My own rating --> 7/10
It's wonderful if you are in a desperate need of thriller flims!

I bought this dvd and watched it during the weekend!

This is really terrible, a movie with no plot! But it do stirred up my interesting in catching the original novel! Still there's two things I like about this flim;

First one being the lead actress, Hayden Panettiere from Heroes! She certainly makes all the guys lusting for her.
Second one being the way that Dennis Cooverman expressed his love for Beth Cooper on their graduation day. It might be quite embarassing for a geek like him to do so, but I guess this is the only way for him to attract her attention, and for her to have some memories of him.

It was claypot rice for dinner today! It was so good that it made me think of Singapore! It's cooked in a tradition way of cooking under Charcoal! Oh man, if you include lunch, it looks like I owe to Charcoal for good food today!

Looks like I really need to go gym and run more frequently already eh, no more heavy meals for me anymore! (At least for the next few days!)

Today marks the end of 51 weeks for me in Brunei; Come next Saturday, it would be my 1 year here. If not for the extension, I would be counting down for my last 7 days here.

In another two weeks or so, most of my friends in the detachment would be going back home for good. I wonder how life in Brunei would it be without them, It's already kinda lonely and boring here with them around, I can't expect how life would be when they're gone.

Oh yes, At least there's something to be happy about, I finally got my 600 Jaws Singlet. I had managed to clock 600km in my tour of duty here. I guess this is as far as I can go, I doubt I would get the 900km singlet.

It's a wonderful night out with GBB! She's the first person that booked me during my one week stay here. As usual, we talked non-stop and had so much so catch up! How time flies, she's a OL working at Suntec City now! It's her first week of attachment!

Dinner was at Manhattan Fish Market, It was my first time there though! We had seafood platter, and one good thing about eating dinner with her is that she's always the one who ordered the food and work out the bill correctly!

The seafood platter is so huge right? As expected, we didnt finish it!

Though we're full, we had dessert, because she keep insisting we should try the famous Ah Chew Desserts! She's right, it's really popular, and it took us like half a hour to get 2 seats?

Meeting GBB is my last stop for my home leave, I hope I would be back in Singapore real soon. It's the end of my blog entries for Singapore too! It's back to reality again, back to Brunei.

It's a day out with Nicole at Bugis! I think I had not been to Bugis for at least a year plus? It's really great to be back in Singapore, especially Bugis! It had the largest shop street in Singapore, and there's a new shopping mall, Iluma there too!

Next it's Haji Lane, It's a really good place to shop and hunt for unexpected buys, the shop structures are so vintage.

It show, Comex 2009 next! There are so many cool gadgets for sale, and I'm swear i'm going to be back on December's show to shop for Phones and Mp3 Player! It's time to reward myself after working so hard in Brunei!

It had been quite sometime since I last catch up with Bettina & Mary, and I'm really happy to be able to meet up with them during my short week here. Mary was our food guide for the day, because we decided to turn vegetarian a day for our dear friend!

Initially, the plan was to have a Vegetarian buffet above Yum Cha at Chinatown, but when we reached there, we realized the shop had cease its operation already!

Thankfully, Mary had a contingency plan, so our Plan B was to go for a Vegan Restaurant at Suntec City! I didn't realize there are so much Vegetarian food-lovers in Singapore; we had trouble finding seats!

The Nasi-Lemak is seriously good, and the Veggie Satay actually taste better than any of the meat satay i had tried before!

We had a "photo shoot" at Millenia Walk, and Bettina brought along her Polaroid Camera! Both her polaroid and digital cameras are so cool, that I instantly regret buying my Canon Camera, I should had bought her's instead!

Next, meet up with my juniors in Jurong Point! It had been quite sometime since we last met, and it feels like good old days few years ago, where we will always a chit-chat session after unit training. Though the people is lesser now, I'm still happy to see Jiamin & Cinlee and Shishi!

It was a fun-filled day with an auspicious date! 090909! The much coveted date whereby many couples got married! Alrights, I know there is no link! But it's the day that I finally realized my cravings for Kbox!

It had been such a long time since I last sang! Thanks to the people who accompany me to Kbox, actually we are suppose to have Yum Cha Dimsum buffet, but I request to change it to Kbox, after watching "Don't forget the lyrics" the day before.

We sang during the 2 - 7 timeslot, and it was quite cheap! It's only $17 per head, with 2 drinks and unlimited tibits! Yes, I finally met my long-lost good friend, Jason Gan Hong Teck, we used to meet up almost everyday after school man!

Next, I met up with Shinghwee, Weilin, Wilson, Huiyi and Hongyi for a night out at Long Bar, Raffles Hotel! It was my first time at such an upmarket pub!

A glass of beer like this, actually cost me around 20 bucks!

But the ambience and the surroundings are quite relaxing, and with unlimited peanuts to snack on, and a real live band, I guess spending 20 bucks is still worth it afterall!

Well, to conclude, it's a good night with great company to be with, and here's our toast to many more years of friendship to come! (:

The night is still not over for me, as I got a lift from Wilson to Yishun to meet up with the rest who's there for supper! I can't resist the chance of seeing them again, and I am hungry & I didn't eat anything that day!

I swear I'm sick of eating food from Hong-Kong Cafe! I am going to avoid such food for the next 6 months!

"Wah, You Siao uh" That's the first response I got from my friends when they know that I went to Army Open House (AOH) during my home leave. I can't agree with them more, because I am seriously sick of seeing people in green! Imagine I had to be in an army environment for the whole of 2009, and I'm still in one during my short one week of home leave.

But well, I can't really say that It's not fun at all, at least I get to meet up with my friends? Now I finally understand why people always say, you can play for one FULL day in AOH, because you spent half day waiting for the activities!

I spent 1.5 hours waiting for my turn okay! and we are forced to put on a helmet! O great! I did not expect myself to put on a helmet when I'm back for home leave.

It was a sunny yellow banana day out with Meizi! The place we choose to meet is rather interesting - Chinatown. It's all because I wanted to explore Chinatown, but somehow I failed! We are still at the same place after like walking for a hour? Heh, what a bad start to our first outing right!

Next, we wanted to head to Orchard Ion, because Meizi had never been there before. But we took the wrong train and end up in Suntec City! It's so embarrassing right? I can't seem to get anything right that day! Singapore had become so unfamilar to me.

We had a really late lunch at around 3pm? Perhaps it's my fault, to eat lunch that late. MOF is the place for lunch and I totally love the macro function of my new camera! Look at how clear it is!

After lunch, Meizi brought me to the Marina Barrage. It's my first time there, and I am totally impressed by it. It's such an ideal place for a picnic and kite flying! I must had seen at least 40 kites up the sky that day; I had never seen so much kites before.

The scenery is damn nice, and when the IR resort is completed, I am sure it would be a sight to behold.

There's this mini exhibition about Marina Barrage, It's quite an interesting place, with lots of recycling materials on display.

I shall interrupt on blogging about my home leave with this short post. Remember there's this one entry that I posted recently that I found few kittens in camp? (Refer to August 22's entry) Guess what? I saw it again today! And they had grown so much in just a mere 3 weeks!

They are so adorable right? I am quite tempted to adopt one! But too bad, I can't, because I am a NSF! I can't wait to ord, and I can't wait to gain back my freedom, It's only then, I can do whatever things I like!

It had been almost a year since I last saw my Secondary School Clique! How scary it seems that time is flying past us so fast.

Alot of things had changed, Jolene is almost finishing her studies at SIM, Fiona is a Level 1 Staff Nurse, while Loretta is a Level 2 Staff Nurse, Siewli just started school at SIM too, and Hongyi is studying at Singapore Poly. It's a pity that Klvin can't join us as he got something on.

Even though we did not see each other for quite some time, I can still feel the bond between us, Perhaps, it's because of the fact that they still meet up for gatherings when I'm not around. Let's hope our friendship will still last even when we are working next time!

The first working day after coming back from Singapore is finally over! I took a half day off in the morning to replenish my sleep that I lost during my home leave. I guess it's still not enough, because I feel so sleepy right now, I guess I am going to sleep early tonight, probably not later than 10pm?

I had my first taste of physical activity today, and my timing for 4.2km is super slow, it's like 20.35? Way below my usual timing, and I nearly faint after running! I guess it's due to the fact that I am tired? I hope to improve on my timing soon!

We went to many places in one Saturday! From Orchard Ion all the way to Suntec City, then back to Orchard again! Though we walked for a long distance, It's not tiring at all, maybe because we are talking non stop thru -out our journey there! Hello everyone, I had safely reach Brunei already! This is the place that would be my home for the next 67 days. Seriously I felt kinda weird right now, I guess I need time to adapt?

There'll be a day where we could all see the sunset together.

I had a wonderful one week here in Singapore; Thanks to everyone for making my home leave such a memorable one. I shall blog more in details when I am back in Brunei.

In less than 24 hours, I would find myself back in camp. This time, I am going to be positive because it's going to be a short while! What's 2.5 mths more as compared to 11 months in Brunei right?

My flight at 9 am means that I have to wake up super early to reach airport at around 7.15am! So sorry that I can't stay overnight as some of you had suggested. It's alrights, if none of you can send me off, because it's too early for you guys to reach airport! So, keep your precious time sleeping alrights, maybe you guys could come pick me up when I am back for good?

Meanwhile my current Singapore line (90369115) is still in use, even if I am in Brunei. You can sms at normal charges (5 cents per sms).

Nowadays, I realise I can't sleep that much anymore! No matter how tired I am, I can only manage to sleep 6 hours. Maybe that's a good thing, because I wouldn't want to waste my precious time on sleeping! That's one bad thing about guard duties I guess, it screw up my body system, and now I can't really enjoy sleeping anymore!

It's an exciting day for me on last friday, because it's the day that I returned to my homeland! Thanks for all who went to welcome me!

MY Family!

It's good to see your family waiting for you, and when you've so much to tell them about! I seriously miss my family man! Hope to be able to catch up with them during Tues and Thurs! (:

They are the best la! Despite me telling them that I had to leave with my family immed, they still came! Most of them live in west side okay, and I felt quite bad of leaving them after chatting for only 15 mins!

While I'm waiting for my flight, I thought it's a good idea for me to post an entry before I head for home. I am just so excited to see Singapore & so relieve to take a break from this camp! In another 5 hours, I would find myself back in Singapore!

I want to see my family and friends so badly that I am actually quite nervous now! I am afraid that there will be this awkward silence when we see each other! Though some of my friends might had disappeared, I am still thankful of whoever I had! It's inevitable, so why deny it? Afterall, it's normal to lose friends, after being away for so long!

Below are just some random stuffs that I wanted to post, but somehow I always forget.

Take a look at this, Singa Chicken Rice! While Singapore hawkers always love to claim that the chicken rice that they serve are authentic Hainanese Style, the Bruneians seem to content and proud to use Singapore as their brand name for Chicken Rice.

In fact, they are so proud that they even use the word "Singa" and the merlion as their shop's signature board.

What makes it so remarkable was that, judging from the design of the restaurant, it seems to be around in Brunei for a long time.

Here comes the main character, Steamed White Chicken with Rice! Intially I am quite worried that I might be disappointed by the taste of it, and if the taste is not up to standard, it might ruin the image of Singapore's cuisine. But the thought of it was quickly dismissed, because once I start, I can't stop! I finished it within 5 mins?

Cos the sky’s the only limit when you’re not afraid to dream.

It's going to be the end of August soon and 2009 would be over in another 4 months. Sometimes it's how amazing to realise that I've been away from home for so long. I had spent 324 days in Brunei already! I can't but feel proud for myself. It's just another 80+ days, and I would be out of here for good!

Brunei, the Sultanate of Unexpected Treasure continues to surprise me with this magnicifient place, The Empire - Hotel & Country Club. I have long heard of this place of being one of the best hotel in Brunei, but I didn't expect it to be this good.

It's really beautiful, isn't it? There are alot of facilities which includes a Cinema with 3 large screens which screened most of the up to date English shows, a world class golf course and so on!

Imagine the view that you get from the hotel room! Look at the beautiful views of the surrounding South China Sea. There's so much swimming pool, lagoon and the list goes on!

I hope I would had the chance to stay in this hotel one day! The price is really affordable for a 6 stars hotel! The hospitality of the staffs are top class, they even pay people to open doors for you! For more info, http://www.theempirehotel.com

I can't but help to take photos of myself in this beautiful hotel! Pardon me for camwhoring.

I practice on how to self take pictures of myself, because I always sucked at it. My hair is super short right now! That's the thing I had to sacrifice of being in a camp in foreign land.

Being a glutton, how can I leave this place without trying the food in the restaurant? I had brunch at this up-market Chinese Restaurant!

The moment you enter the place, you would be defintely get the hint of paying more for the food! We ordered Dimsum, and it's a little ex at $17 per person! Even though we didn't really ordered alot. But the quality of the food is really good, It's comparable to Crystal Jade! The chef is from Singapore! It looks like Singapore Cuisine is really top class in Asia.

In the evening, we celebrate one of our comrade birthday! We had a buffet dinner at Cafe twelv, and it's really cheap, it only cost us $14 per person!

These are the people whom I am stuck with in Brunei! The armour tankees! Come October, they will be leaving without me, how sad!

Guess what, during the fasting month, 90 percent of the restaurants in Brunei would be offering Sungkai buffet to faciliate our muslims friends to break their fast. The buffets are really cheap, with some as low as $5! It's a good time to get fat, so I shall try my best to resist any temptation from eating buffets that frequently.

In case you are wondering why my blog song is "what do you see" That's because currently I'm addicted to this year NDP song! I don't know why, but I just love it! I hope it's not weird for me to get addicted to NDP song!

Oh yes, I am in need of a crab feast! I'll go crazy if I don't eat crabs soon! It had been quite sometime since I last have crabs! I live to eat!

During the weekend, I spotted something funny at the Chinese Restaurant I visited. Look at the menu on how they introduce the pork, chicken and duck dishes. It's freaking hilarious!

Using terms like 猪的诱惑（Pork Temptation）野鸡的魅力（Chicken Fascination) & 鸭的魅力（Duck Fascination) is just weird right? I nearly laugh until I fall off the chair!

I had just finished doing area cleaning, now my room feel so neat and tidy! I always hated the fact that I need to do area cleaning in the army, but when I'm in the midst doing it, I am actually feeling happy about it!

I am currently addicted to Upside down by A-Teens, my fav song when I'm in Sec 2! It just bring back lots of memories I had back then. It's the same song that makes me interested with RC, my mass dance's song during my first ever course in HQ & that special girl I met in my course. It reminds me of the crazy early teenage years I had! I think I am really happy when I am in sec 2!

Dont ask me why, but time has passed us by.

It's going to be a long weekend for me, because it's a Public Holiday on Monday, and I had clear all my weekends duties for this month. Seriously the food in the camp's cookhouse is getting better, even breakfast seems to raise one level too, we had crossaints fresh from Delifrance for Breakfast today.

I guess I have to slowly accept the 6 weeks extension that had given to me. 20 November will be the day that I return to Singapore for good. I would make use of this chance to earn more money here I guess. Qingxiang, You have to be strong! It's just another 3 months more.

Forget about unhappy things for now, Guess what I spotted in the camp recently?

Yes! I found 3 kittens, and we put it in a box! It's strange seeing kittens this small, when we found them, it haven even open their eyes yet! But now, after a week or so, it can move around and cries non-stop!

I nearly lost them and apparently the contractors had threw the cats out, but fortunately we managed to rescue it. These little kittens are really strong, despite being out alone for 3 days, they still survive.

We are thankful that we found someone (Regulars) who is willing to take care of the kittens, if not I really don't know what am I supposed to do with the kittens.

From tomorrow onwards, I'm going to cut down on my eating and spent more time in gym or running instead. I want to live healthily too, and that means I am going to stay away from two beloved things, Food & Internet. I'm going to try sleeping early too!

I don't know why people always assume that I have many friends, actually I don't have that much alrights? At least I no longer have anymore. But it's alrights! at least I still have myself to depend on! I'm just going to walk away from my troubles and focus on living healthily!

Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors.

It's my first time wearing the New SAF Pixelated Uniform today. It's seriously not bad, and I think it looks nicer than the previous uniform! But well, I only have less than 120 days left to wear it.

It looks like I have a National Day this year too. The camp organised a mini gathering for everyone to watch the live telecast of the parade via online! This year's show is the best so far? and the parade march pass was awesome! How I wish I am part of the parade too!

I even bought a Red Shirt to wear on that day!

& I got a NDP bag too! (:

It's like trying to turn around on a one way street.

Believe it or not, I used to hate taking photos, everytime someone brings out a camera, I will quickly run away or use something to hide my face; Yes, I am that camera-shy until last July. Perhaps it's because I know that I'm due to leave Singapore, therefore I would like to have something to remind me of my family and friends that I valued so much. To that extent, I even bought myself my very first digital camera.

That digital camera became my very first visual diary. I would use it to take images that I would like to remember. But somehow, I start to lose interest in taking photographs of myself again. So I guess I won't be posting up photographs of myself for the next few months.

Blogging is my hobby for now, as it's a channel for me to store and share my memories with people who's interested to know more about me and my well-being. So I shall blog about last Thursday's (6th August) Detachment Cohesion.

It's another day spent as a tourist in Brunei Darussalam. The day started at 9am in the morning, where we head for our first destination - Muara Beach. Seriously, it's really a top-class beach & park for people to gather and relax. It's clean and the air is fresh. However there's this ONE BIG Problem about this place. See whether you can spot it in the images I took.

There's nobody at the beach, It's only US.

I was quite anti-social that day, I didn't join my friends in playing soccer or having fun in the water, because I was quite feeling down that day. I just need to find a quiet place for myself and enjoy the peace that I desperately need.

Next it's time for Lunch, where we tried out a new place with budget buffet. The buffet lunch is only at $5.90 per person! The food and the place is not bad too, and most importantly there is customer service! Something that I miss about Singapore's Restaurant. Brunei is not so much of customer service orientated you see?

There's a different theme everyday too. I can eat different cuisine at affordable price everyday without getting sick and tired of the food. They serve buffet for breakfast and dinner too. Our theme for that day is Melaka food!

Fresh Cut - Fruits!

It's time for movie again! As it's Thursday, therefore it cost slightly more at $5 per person! But guess what? We had the entire theatre all to ourself. It's like booking the whole theatre, we can talk loudly, use our phone & scared each other during the show.

After so many light hearted movies, Its finally time for something thrilling. Cold Prey 2! It's a Norwaygein film, which the plot is mainly about a killer looking around for its preys. It's a-bit boring and stupid, so please don't watch this.

I miss playing pool so much, and I'm glad we came to this pool cafe. It's really relaxing over there, and it reminds me of the times I spent during my free time in Singapore. Though I may not be that good in it, but still it's fun!

It's dinner @ Cafe Twelve; a nice little restaurant that sells mostly western food. It's quite amazing that this restaurant with a small kitchen could actually whip up so many dishes. It had such a huge variety of food that includes Asian cuisine too.

Oh yes! I forget to mention that I would be watching The National Day Parade Live via Online tomorrow too. The camp had organised an event for us, to be altogether watching the parade away from home. It's so exciting that I would be joining the rest of the Singaporean back at home reciting the pledge at 8.22pm.

The sun in me had shut down and decided not to shine anymore.

Sometimes I think serving NS in Brunei really screw me up, I'm becoming a little bit crazy, easily irritable and so hot-tempered now. I can't really control my emotions, handle my mood and manage my temper anymore. I teared in my sleep at times, get restless easily. I hope it's not abnormal for a guy to feel like this.

Yesterday, I was going thru a workshop - Team Building and Team Learning, where I was asked to share on what's my best and what's my worst experience here.

Best - Being able to stand tall and be independent thru-out my 10 months stay here.

Worst - I used to laugh alot back in Singapore, but somehow I seem to lose it here.

This really triggered me into thinking all those things I had lost while I'm here, and it doesn't help when I had a guard duty to do later that day. I don't really enjoying being "me" when I am here, I miss being the old "me".

While I don't really like the idea of staying overseas for a year, but still I didn't object to it. What I didn't expect is that they can just happily extend my tour to another 6 weeks, without even my consent. It makes me feel so pathetic and so insignificant. It doesn't help when you told your family that you are coming back in August and they are actually the ones that cause you to change your plans; reason being they don't want you to waste the few mere hundreds dollars of air ticket and afraid that I would be caught with the stupid swine flu.

I am all alone here, and I don't want to bother with my NS mates here with my whining, because I know they have their own sets of problems as well. I guess it's just me. I will just have to suck thumb and get thru the remaining time I had to serve here.

Alrights, It's back to listening to my songs. Only the songs in my MP3 can calm me down right now.

So I'll cross the skies and sail the seas to the home I long to see.

I took a half day off today. Please don't be envious of me, I am just clearing my off days. It had been quite some time since I last book out, and it feels really good to be out of the same old boring place that you stay and work everyday. I guess I just need a break. I am really getting disillusionized about the life here.

I took a walk around the main city of the capital today. It's just a casual walk with some shots taken by my lousy digital camera. Below, is one of the shot that I took today.

It's one of the many mosque in Brunei. If I'm not wrong, this is the most grand and the biggest one.

Since it's weekday, and with the movies' tickets going at $4. It's always tempting to catch a movie.

This is a good movie, just that the ending is a-bit bad, but it's still quite worth it to watch. It makes me want to fall in love right now. Sandra Bullock is still so hot, despite being 46. It's hard to imagine that she is that old.

I had roasted duck for dinner today. It's the probably the only thing that makes me happy. I love eating duck, and it's my favourite meat out of all.

The duck looks so tempting right? It's almost the same standard as I can get in Singapore. Thank god for this place. (:

Don't leave me hanging, in a city so dead.

The structure of the streets and roads in Brunei is so similar to that of Singapore. That's because Singapore and Brunei shared a very special relationship, that's why there's quite alot of ideas that are being shared among the two countries.

I fell asleep while on the way back to camp, the journey back seems so long. I was jolted out of my sleep when the vehicle hit a slight bump. As I was lying down, & at that moment, from that view out of the window, I thought I was in Singapore. The streets, the traffic lights and the road signs are all so familar to me.

I don't deny that I miss home. Sometimes the emotions just overwhelmed me. Yesterday, the camp was showing some videos & started playing some past years NDP theme songs, and that includes Kit Chan's Home. I start following the music, and unknowingly I start singing the song softly.

I almost teared.

Yesterday, I heard this Year NDP Theme song for the first time. It's not that bad as what some had shared during the forums. I think it's not bad, and the Chinese version is actually quite good?

As I listened to all those NDP theme songs, It reminds me of the wonderful time and experience I had during NDP 2007. It makes me feel like taking part in NDP again. I want to feel the pride and joy that I had lost. But I doubt I would had the chance to take part again. But it's alrights, at least I had experienced it before, and I guess it's good enough already.

Sorry for this post. I just feel that I need to let it out.
